I just got my "new to me" 2007 320 sundancer. It will be in salt water to I would like to flush it as often as possible with salt off. Do I have to get down in there every time to turn off the sea cock that draws in the salt water every time, they're pretty far down in there (twin merc 350) and awkward to get to. If so, any tips or tools to use to make this easier especially when the engine is hot after running it. It has a quick connect for the water, I believe its a cpc coupling, are these good? They seem like kind of a small inside diameter. Also, has anyone hooked up a y connector and 2 hoses to flush them both at once? I want to do this often so looking for a better set up, the easier it is the more I'll do it. Does flushing without the engine on do any good? Thanks in advance for all your help.

First, don’t flush very long with out the engine running. I thing Merc recommends max 15 seconds of water flow before starting and after shutting down the motor.

Don’t try to flush both at once with the sea cocks closed unless you are absolutely certain that you have adequate water supply.

if you leave the sea cocks open, any excess Fresh water will just get pushed out of the through hull. No harm there.

If you close the sea cock and don’t have adequate fresh water supply, you’ll burn up your raw water impeller.
