Fresh Water System

Hey all, new to boat ownership. Just bought a 96 240 Sundeck. Have an issue with the fresh water - only get enough pressure to operate for a few seconds before shutting off. Any suggestions on what the problem may be? Have not had a chance to explore, so location of filters of pumps would be greatly appreciated.

The filter should be located near the pump.

Does the pump cycle continuously or intermittently without squeezing the nozzle trigger when you turn on the switch on? If so you have a leak in the system. Trace down the leak and repair or ask for addtional help.

Bingo! Thank you...

Now going through the sanitation process. That was some nasty funk on the screen. In the process of emptying the tank before putting in the bleach, it clogged again. May sanitize it twice for good measure.

if your water tank is in bilge just unscrew filter, stick water hose in tank and flush it very good
