Fresh water tank empties out quickly

Spike those are all DC systems so even if those are open nothing will drain if the water pump switch is off. I would put the Perko off to eliminate any DC function then turn on the A/C.
He had the pump on. When he had the pump off it held water.

Really? John Lamar my canvas guy is there. If you know him ask him to take a look, if not, and not fixed by Saturday, I can come over, wife going out town, got nothing better to do in the morn.
Oh man…you guys are too nice.
Not sure I know John, what vessel does he have?
I have someone coming to take a look tomorrow, amd no matter what happens, I’ll let you guys know.
thanks!

Update!!!!
Thanks all for your guidance.
The update is that this was all caused by an O-Ring in one fo the joints going from the fresh water pipes to the water heater. It turns out that, upon commissioning the boat, the O-ring lost some of its sealing ability, and it had a slow leak…again…it was in such a hidden spot that it was hard to see, until the mechanic folded himself up and reached that hidden spot to see it.
Amazing.
Anyhow, the part is $1.05, and it will be replaced today!! Amazing.

Thanks again,

I had the same issue a couple years ago. I would fill my fresh water tank and within a few hours it would be empty. I couldn’t find any leaks. It was a mystery. Then one day one of my kids was swimming next to the boat and said why is hot water pouring out of this through hull fitting? Here the water heater had a weak p&t valve. I replaced that and was all good.

Fresh water leaks suck. I have one myself that I’ve tried everything to isolate but it takes up to an hour before the water starts to show up in the center bilge so troubleshooting takes forever. The pump cycles every 45 minutes very briefly.

I have put together a pressure testing rig I’ll be attaching to each line this week with a schrader valve and gauge. Driving me nuts!

$1.05 part and $100 labor. Now, onto the next problem. BYW, what mechanic did you use?

I ended up calling Neils. He’s great.
I would have called Slim, but I know they’re crazy busy up there. Neils is also great.

Neils? More specific so I can add to contacts.
I was waiting for him to tell me it was ok to blast his name and number to the world…sorry for the delay.
His name is Niels Nielsen 443-271-4051
Nice guy, knowledgeable and fair. Very fair.
