Fuel filter replacement

i have a 1984 searay sundancer with a 5.7 mercruiser. where is my fuel filter and how do i replace it ?

There is a basket filter where the fuel line enters the carb. Detach the fuel line at this point to change it. Your fuel pump may also contain a filter depending on the pump.

My 85 260da 5.7 has a spin-on water seperating filter on the front starboard side of the motor as well as the carb filter.
