Fuel filter runs low.

Hello, I have a 199& sea ray Seville cuddy . It has a 4.3L merc I/O . When I peg the throttle it idle up like it should . When looking at see through fuel filter the gas isn’t fillin gun it up fast enough .
I changed the fuel pump , new hoses and filter . Have the right gas cap on . Have no idea what else it could be . Any help would be appreciated .

Run the engine from a gas jug and see how it does.

Can you clarify your third sentence?
Does the engine run properly? Or is it lacking power?

Usually a fuel filter won't "fill up". They usually fill just fast enough to feed engine.
