2003 360DA having an issue with port fuel sensor. Filled up the tanks this weekend and while heading out fuel gauge would move around showing either full, empty or 1/2 tank. Same reading showing up on Smartcraft Gauge and on vessel view so I think it is s sensor problem not a gauge problem. Also because it jumps between the three positions, and nothing else, it seems like a digital problem. Anyone have any suggestions on troubleshooting?

Thanks

Sounds like an loose or corroded intermittent connection. Not loose enough to stop reading but a poor connection that creates resistance and changes the voltage going to the gauge. Check the connections. Make sure they are clean and tight. Most electrical problems on boats are due to bad electrical connections.

Maybe, tech cleaned a connector that was reachable, but said there is another connector behind the fuel tank he could not access. Only been out once since then and all was good, but not putting this in the fixed pile until a couple more trips.
