Hi all,
Hope you had a good holiday weekend.
Question. port fuel gauge stopped working. The gauge is pinned past the full mark.

Where would you start to troubleshoot? At the gauge or sending unit?

Either the wiring or the sender itself has a ground in it or gauge is bad. Be sure you have good 12V and ground at gauge 1st.

To check wiring sender: Disconnect wire from fuel tank sender and see if it goes to E. If yes, bad sender. If no, wire to gauge is grounded somewhere.

To check gauge: Remove sender wire from the back of gauge. Should drop below empty. Grounding that terminal will send it high. If it doesn't move, gauge is kaput.

Thank you.

It has been working with no issues and then it just went to over full mark.
