Some people park their rentals using Braille. That's what the crash rails are for. The feel and noise lets you know you are ready to tie your ropes to the dock poles.

Yes...it’s name was Mach Turtle
Must have been fun docking. Single screw deep keel. I guess go only as fast as you are willing to hit something means WOT?

I helped a friend look at one he was thinking of buying. Kind of a neat vessel but not my cup of tea. Nice teak woodwork and the aft cabin was pretty comfortable looking.

I have a friend that lives on his older Monk in southern Florida.
Made in Asia, lots of teak.
Unfortunately he has let it go, especially the teak.
Would need lots of work but nice boat and could be beautiful.

We had that trawler for 2 weeks and travelled 4 hours a day and the sight glass never moved
if u only traveled 4 hours a day you hardly did move.

That was as far as I could go without a beer.... I have 4 kids :)
That is how long it took to get from Gore Bay to the Benjamins and back in that Monk. But to be fair, there were probably 10mph headwinds.

We did gore bay to Bens, Little current, the pool, Killarney and lots of Coves... when we did the North Channel we spent most of the time anchored in coves where we could get to shore by dingy and have a fire.. the kids loved exploring, collecting drift wood and blueberries... very good times

@my3sons you're right beautiful up in the North Channel.... This was us chartering a Trawler out of Gore Bay...anchored in the Benjamin Islands...talk about navigating by sight :)

Chartered that same boat twice out of Gore Bay back in the early and mid 2000’s....Mach Turtle 38’ Marine Trader. Including both trips we went west to Turnbull Island and east to Killarney and everything in between favorites are Croker and Fox islands. Great boat for the islands....kinda slow for normal life.

That's right.. Marine Trader. We chartered a few different boats out of there and always went East. I dont think we could say any one place was our favorite...they were all spectacular. We really like Little Current though just a perfect little town. Hottest wings I ever had til this day... My kids still laugh today of me crying in the restaurant. We stopped in there once on the boat because my son had an ear infection. We went to the hospital... After the doc fixed him up I asked how do we pay you and he said just give me $20, I did he put it in his pocket and away we went. Too funny
