I ordered the Fusion MS-NRX300 to control the RA-70 connected to my Seatalk network. Wondering if anyone has installed this and exactly how it works. I hope that all I have to do is connect this to the open spur on my Seatalk block. I am assuming there is not need to add power and there is just one connection necessary. Any advice would be most welcomed.

I dont know much about SeaTalk but I assume that is Raymarine's version of NMEA2000. But yes your new remote will just hook into a Tee on your NMEA2000 backbone (or SeaTalk) (the same way your RA70 is connected) and with be powered from the network. Just 1 cable connection

Thanks but don't belle it is that simple. I need an adaptor cable as the Fusion remote issuing a NEMA2000 connection and the Seatalk connection is different.

You might want to keep your seatalk NG network separate and bridge it with a new NMEA 2000 network for the new devices. only one cable is needed to get the SeaTalk NG to NMEA 2000. Might save you some money, but then you can also add any NMEA 2000 device you like.

Post back and tell us what you ended up doing. Good luck.

I ended up going with a NMEA to Seatalk Adaptor on the remote. Plugged into the Seatalk Backbone, powered it up and everything worked instantly. Easy project I have ever done.
