Matthew.somma@marinemax.com

2. He can also order the DDU monitor (message /alarm monitor ) for the Helm

Thanks for your earlier note on this, @Mich.

I emailed Matthew, and also spoke with him on the phone, yesterday about the Systems Monitor parts, including pricing.

From our 2006 Parts Manual:
Display = 1769722 = Panel, Sys Mon IND (LCD) 2004 -- “Display Control Module”
Module = 984682 = Module, Sys Mon Interface (LCD) – “Bilge Interface Module (BIM)”

New parts (per Matthew Somma, MarineMax, Brick, NJ):
PANEL, SYS MON IND 2007 = 1907585 aka DDU
MODULE, SYS MON INTERFACE 2008 = 1907587 aka HSNC (Interface Module)

His prices for each are $760 (Display) and $1,068 (Bilge Interface) plus shipping and tax.

Matthew said Sea Ray told him the things go bad every 10 years or so and need to be replaced. I specifically asked if it's feasible to replace the display only, and he said Sea Ray told him no: the bilge interface would likely also go bad quickly, and it wouldn't be possible to shut off an alarm at the display.

I could interpret that as Sea Ray suggesting a whole, clean repair versus a piecemeal approach. I could also interpret the alarm thing as maybe they mean -- after the older model bilge interface goes south -- the new display wouldn't turn off alarms.

Hi Chris
That’s exactly what happened to me.
I purchased a new DDU monitor first for the helm. It all worked great for about 2 weeks with old module in May and then it was impossible to turn off alarm data link failure without flipping the systems monitor circuit breaker off in engine room. At first Matthew told me they were not making these anymore when it was really that the part number was changed and not in the system. I got a call and an email letting me know what he found out with Sea Ray as you detailed above they created new part nymbers.
So I am now this weekend installing the new replacement module.
Saved me a ton of money/time thought I would need to redo the whole system!
