I'm curious as to how many of you have added a galvanic isolator to your shorepower

Jim, on my last three Sea Rays, they came with isolators from the factory. '91 270, '95 300 and '98 400. If you follow the bonding system diagrams in your owners manual, I believe you already have one behind your AC breaker panel. If you have dual 30amp shore power, you will have two. What is making you think you need an isolator added?

The new sdx series and even Slx series from what I see do not come with them. They have a battery charger and 110v shore power normal house type ac plug. I added one as I leave it in the water and plugged in to keep batteries topped off.

I re-did a 87 270 amberjack. Previous owner eliminated the AC panel and created his own electric system. I've torn that out and put in a new after market AC panel to power fridge, charger and an outlet for a microwave. I read some articles before re-wiring it and they recommend an isolator
