I'm looking at possibly purchasing these for my 94 Sundancer. Has anyone on the site use them and install them, and what are your thoughts on them?
Thanks
chris

Hi Chris,

I'm running 2 and they seem to work pretty well. My only concern when we were installing them is that we had to neck down the fuel line size for them and that concerned me big time, but they seem to be running fine and not starving the motors for fuel.

Thanks all, I have a 740s that I plan on using them with.

John do you keep the bow in Milford? I'm in west haven, on the woodmont border.

Yes Sir, we play on the Housy

Cool, we usually stay between the thimbles in Branford and Charles island. We usually make at least one trip to old Lyme and hit up the pavilion. Haven't been up the Housy in a while.

Love the Pavilion, never been by boat though. I think it has something to do with all those underwater obstructions over in Branford area lol. I'll have to start reading the charts and brush up. It would be a good run for sure I'd bet. We are all over Charles Island and PJ.

I installed them on my boat.
The good:
Easy to install, and work flawlessly with your NMEA 200 Garmin network.
No need to mount extra gauges on the dash.
Seeing the fuel flow right on the GPS screen is fantastic.
The bad:
I don't like the plastic senders. Garmin makes great GPS's, and their customer service people are top notch at answering questions abut them. When it came time to talk to them about the GFS 10, I felt like I was speaking a foreign language.

Honestly, if I had it to do all over again, I think I would learn towards something from Flo-Scan.
It's been a while, but back when I was looking for something, they had tachs that had the fuel flow rate display in them. They were pricey, but I remember really liking that idea.
