I have gas coming out on to the water and would like to know where it is coming from. It is getting out some were anyone have an idea as to where. thank you:smt024

Are we sure it's gas and not an oil film from a trim tab cylinder, outdrive trim cylinder or the outdrive itself?

I had a couple of opinions that I had fuel aft, but turned out to be trim rams.

Correction.

Not trim rams per se, but actually the oil line to them.

Most older gas engines with carbs will exhaust some raw fuel when cold. I should stop as soon as the engine reaches operating temp and the choke opens. i know my 454's do this to the point the bilge fume detector will alarm when the blowers are running.

Is your tank full? Is it warming up where you boat? Could be coming out the tank vent.

Is it coming out with the exhaust? Or out your bilge pump?

Does it while running or engine off?
