Generator Removal

I have an Onan 5kw generator (original equip) on my 1999 290 Sundancer twin engine (4.3's), and I was wondering if it can be completely removed, for repairs, without taking out the port engine???
I figure at best the manifold and risers will have to come out, as well as the alternator, and power steering pump...
