Is there a hand held Gps that has a drift warning system. Also is there any systems out there that is just a drift warning system. Sleeping on the hook on the river would be more relaxing knowing if I start to drift I will get a warning. Drifting over a damn or into a barge would suck.

Most Garmin GPS/CHARTPLOTTER'S will have an anchor drag alarm. My 3010c, 376c and my other small one all has that feature. JC

I think most marine GPS units have this feature, at least all of the ones i've looked at did. But you can just whip off an email to Jim here at BOE and he'll know the answer.

I have an old GPSMAP 76 that we bought 6 - 8 years ago and it has it. It's listed as Anchor Drag and most marine units have it.

I have a little handheld outdoor Garmin Legend C, which has the Anchor Drag feature as well. I can understand how that would be a great feature when overnighting. Wouldn't work that great with my unit though as it would have to have a view of the sky, so I'd have to sleep topside... :smt001
