New gimbal bearing is in and bellows are replaced! I got probably a good 8 pumps of grease in and grease started coming out between the aluminum housing of the bearing? I have marks on both housings making sure the grease holes were lined up and triple checked the alignment of the compression ring before I installed it. I expected to see grease come out of the bearing? Do I have a problem or is this normal? Bearing spins freely still and I expected it to have a little stickiness from grease by now? Thanks for any input! I was hoping to have the drive back on today but don't want to proceed until I know I don't need to remove the bearing again :(

It should come out of bearings.

If you bought a new Mercrusier bearing they are self sealed and require no grease -if you bought an aftermarket bearing then as Quint stated you should see grease
