Hello fellow boaters! I've been here for a month or so, and thought I should introduce myself. I've been around power boats most of my adult life, starting with my Dad's Century Arabian when I was in high school.

I'm on my third boat of my own. I started with a late 80's 197SRV open bow, then purchased a new '98 230 Signature Select with 7.4 and BIII. When we adopted our baby daughter, we wanted something that we could use to continue boating. Something with a cabin, and air conditioning. We started out looking at 28', and ended up with a very lightly used 2000 340DA. We've had it for 9 years now, with no major (knock on teak) issues.

Our boating tends to be evening or moonlight cruises, hanging out in a cove, or doing overnighters (primarily with the group our local Sea Ray dealer hosts monthly during the summer).

I'll be lending my advice (when I'm confident of the answer or just so opinionated on the subject that I can't refrain), and of course asking for the advice and wisdom of others as well as reading the posts to gather information from everyone.

I've been on a number of forums on different topics over the years, and I have to say this is one of the best forums I've ever encountered. Hats off to everyone who is involved.

Jeff

Chumbley, Thanks for the autobio info. It's always nice to hear a bit about a new member and how they use their boat. Welcome aboard.

Yes, but not as often as we would like. We took a run up to Briarcliff a week or so back for lunch. It's great boating weather!

Welcome to Club SeaRay!

Hey guys...if you see a blue hulled 340 with palms & flamingos on the transom, that us. M3 at Lake Travis Marina..other end of the dock from U-Float-M.

Photo is not up to date...we have full length bimini & the winter enclosure is going up this weekend.
