"Growth" on transmission mounts

I am getting a growth that looks like what you might see on a battery terminal growing on the mounts for the starboard v-drive where they attach to the stringers in the bilge. The port v-drive mounts are spotless.
It is obviously electrical related but the zincs are checked and changed regularly. The boat is kept in the water with shore power attached.
Any idea what may be causing this?

Thanks for any advice.

While a very remote possibility, is there any chance your shore power cord is touching the water.
Yours, or someone else's, may be causing electrolysis.
I have pulled many dock mate's cords out of the water.

Steve,

That was also my first thought but the cord is suspended well out of the water and there are no other boats within 100 feet of mine that might have power to them.
