Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. Been trying to find some install prices on here, but doesnt seem to be alot. I live in Annapolis and buying my first SeaRay this week. It is a 97 330 vdrive. It has mainly original electronics, the raytheon ones. It does have an updated i50. I am looking to update the MFD to an Axiom along with a new radar. I want to be cost conscience and was wondering what kinda install number should I be looking at so I dont get rapped?

Also is it easy to swap the i50 out to the i70?

If you have ever installed a car stereo it's pretty much the same. Your hardest part will be the arch wiring but if use the old wire to run your new wires then it isn't that tough. My buddy and I did this on my boat in an afternoon.

That's not too bad at all then. Yeah did alot of stereos, esp on my wakeboarding boats, and those towers are a pain in the butt, ha. Working on installing the new radio in the 330 anyway. I thought it would be alot more than that. thanks!

In addition to getting the gear from BOE, if you do end up needing an installer, I would commend you to BOE for that as well. I had some stuff installed a couple of years ago by them. They are on Kent Island across the bay from Annapolis. I got a slip at the Bay Bridge Marina for a couple of days for the install. That's right in their back yard so saved on travel cost for the tech plus a good excuse for a boat trip.

If you go with Axioms get an external GPS. The dealer who installed our new setup (twin axiom pro & ev2 AP) strong armed RM into supplying a freebie 150 because of the problems they had been having with the internal GPS. Also radar with the Axiom is an easier install as the new Quantum radar is a wifi so power is all you need to the array. You might check to see if there is an adaptor for your old wiring. I’d also recommend the pro version, as all touch screen on a boat can be very frustrating. I use the mechanical controls more often than I thought I would on ours.

My old radar is analog, so def need to upgrade. I used to hate touch screen, but after having my malibu and all touchscreen I got used to it, but damn took me a couple of years, haha.

If I replace with Axiom and the Quantum, what else should I be looking at for integration? is a 2nd smaller one necessary?
