Hard start when hot 2003 mpi 6.2 bravo

My '04 300DA with 350MAG had this exact same problem on the starboard engine when I was purchasing it last fall. I almost backed out of the deal because of it. Dealer couldn't find anything wrong. Replaced IAC and still no change. Finally we found a formula that works everytime when hot. We turn on the start switch (push to first click) for 20-30 seconds before we push it all the way down to crank the starter. According to the dealer, apparantly this primes the fuel flow or something like that (I have no idea what I'm talking about there). Anyway, works every time. Starts up just fine when hot now.

I have a very similar problem on my 6.2 MPI - however in my case the engine will also occasionally stall when running and refuse to start - but same thing only when hot. I have had two different diagnosis - one was the coating inside the CF3 module was flaking off and causing fuel pressure issues that were causing the engine to shut off. The other was a flakey coil. This has been going on for two seasons now and I can't really pinpoint exactly what the issue is as it still happens occasionally and I've replaced/screwed around with both at different times to get it back up and running.
