Has anyone converted from a bimini to a hardtop like this? I just want an all weather helm station.

It’s a lot of work. Totally possible. Easier and cheaper to buy a boat the way you want it. A few people on here have done it. Myself included but none have had the top meet up with the windshield the way it is depicted in your picture.

I almost purchased a Cruisers Yachts 320 2 years ago that had a custom built hard top. It looked bad in person, real bad. It kept me from buying it. I thought about tearing it off, reading canvas, etc. but in then I walked. Consider this when do this to a smaller boat.

I saw one being built at our storage marina for a Formula. It was apiece of art and must have cost a fortune. The windshield is a major structural component of hardtops and that vintage Sea Ray is not up to the task. Lots goes into the design of an integrated hardtop. As was mentioned, best to buy a boat designed with a hardtop.

I wouldn't mind a hard top. But in reality, it's not posable. There just isn't enough room for a hard top unless you put a different windshield on it. Tith the current factory canvas there is just enough room to sit in the seat and slide over. Or crawl in. The only option would be to raise the roof and still have some sort of canvas from the top to the framing.

Look at any 34', 37' or 40' Formula PC with a hard top, this is what they do Canvas from the hard top to the windshield.
