Hatch for anchor

I have an SD 200 and the nuts fell off my latch that secures the anchor hatch. Bought 5/16 nuts to replace them, but they don’t thread on. Any ideas? iOS it metric? 3/8? Am I missing something?

Without knowing the brand of the hardware, or being a picture, it is hard to guess. Itcould be metric, could be fine thread. Take it to to the local Ace hardware, and Ill bet you will find it.
