Hi Guys, I am looking for 2 latches that close the front hatch over the Vberth. I have called everywhere with no luck. Went to the source of Taylor made and they don't have anything. Any suggestions? It's getting hot and I can't open that front hatch!!!! Thanks

I just broke one, but rather then pay 35 bucks after shipping, I drilled out the broke off threads with a reverse drill bit, bought a stainless steel 1/4" 20 Thread 1.5" Bolt, ground down the head, and drilled a hole in it. Pop riveted back in place, and good as new for about a $1.50.

"Latching Hatch Handle" - is that what you need?

My suppliers don't carry it, but I should be able to get it for you - if you need.

Pricing? Not sure. If it was a Bomar hatch (those are stocked items) it would be, IIRC, about $30 a handle. No idea what a Taylor would be.

Otherwise, maybe you'd be best to just get a new hatch?

Or, thinking along Billy's line (and assuming you need a handle like the one I linked to), make a handle and double-nut it.

Here are a couple of pictures of the latches. Thanks for the help guys. I am trying to repair with JB weld right now. Will let you know how it goes until I can find new ones.
