You are becoming familiar with the pain that all of us (half-year) boaters suffer. Some poor souls receive even less time at the helm; our neighbors to the north such as Michigan and Wisconsin for example. We are lucky to have five really good months of boating. I would think that in SC, you could stretch that to perhaps nine months. I'll tell you what would really make you cry...seeing two feet of snow sitting on top of your ship. You can almost hear the boat cursing you from under its frozen blanket. Be thankful you have a great boat and a great place to use it. The tears will pass soon enough!

BTW, can we get a picture of your new baby? Put it in your signature for us to enjoy!

If you have camper canvas you will find the cockpit stays nice and warm as long as the sun is shining. I am located in the upstate and we boat year round with our 260DA. On a 45 degree sunny day the temperature gets into the 70's in our cockpit. Plus the great thing about winter boating is you have the water pretty much all to yourself

Have owned my Sea Ray for about 4 years and now going nuts wanting to use it :). I like what "Ten Years..." said about the tears going away. The nice thing is we have something really nice to look forward to, once spring arrives. To be perfectly honest, I like this time of year. I have nothing to wash, polish, wax, and/or buff for 4 whole months!!!

Dont feel bad i am going to cleveland this weekend,a five hour drive from home to hand over the check for my new to me 370 ec.Then ill be the one crying.Glen

No need to cry.... Just make the most you can of the season when it starts...good safe boating, family fun like nothing else.

Move to alabama. We boat all year round. It makes me depressed to read about winterizing boats. Even on 30 degrees days its 70 in the camper canvas and below decks on the 400 DA. I can't tell you how many 65 degree days we've enjoyed in December and January with the whole family on the boat. And typically we are back in the water in the end of march. Ha.

We feel it too. We just just got ours. The only bright side for us is we have enforced time to get some deferred maintenance issues from the PO completed for next season, so we will hopefully (knocking on wood) not have too many issues.

Got out last Friday and will again hopefully this weekend. I love my HeaterCraft heater.
