Hello all,

As I am updating my stereo setup, I am looking at updating the helm as it is all original, ha.

I was wondering how hard would it be to swap the analog out for digital, thinking 2 9+Axiom.
Replace the old radar with a 12+Axiom. Dont know if its possible to go from analog to digital. (7.4s FI)

Love to get some other ideas for how to do the helm. Have not seen alot of helm photos online, seems like I am pretty limited. When I talked to BOE, they said too much work and they dont do the engine reconfiguration to digital, so love the ideas. THANKS@

Fox-marine.com is the place to start for getting your engine data onto the NMEA2K bus. I had them on my last boat and they’re amazing

I think it's one thing to go from analog gauges to digital gauges, but something quite different to integrate all of that analog data into NMEA for an MFD.

You'll have to do some rigging to get fuel level data over to an MFD? And your sync gauge may be a challenge?

I think I'd miss the analog gauges myself. I wouldn't miss my bouncing tach's but....the rest I'd miss :)

For the amount of money you're contemplating investing in that upper helm section you could get into an autopilot, a sweet dinghy, new flooring, a whole lotta fuel, a WHOLE lotta beer!

I replaced all my gauges with Simrad and I integrated my existing Northstar unit.

little easier on my smartcraft boat, but totally awesome

the previously mentioned fox gateway is your starting point.

as a nice bonus, you can screen mirror an iPad to the Simrad to watch fuel level and voltages as well as radar when anchored and running the genset at night

Very nice It looks like a radar overlay on the river chart is that what I'm seeing? That setup is one step above my pay grade . Lol;)

Yes, I have a gs25 heading sensor and run radar laid over my navionics chart
