Hello everyone!

I'm new around here and I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

I'm DYING to get a SeaRay and want to know what I should be looking for (ie, looking OUT for) in the first gen (1975-1979) SRV220? I really really want one, but just don't know enough to start looking!

Thanks guys

Most buyers, such as myself, will need to hire an advocate to take with them when they go look at the boat. I'm talking about a surveyor - a guy you hire from an outside source to inspect the boat prior to you putting your hard earned money into it. It is especially important in an older boat.

The amount you spend on a survey will be a relatively large percentage of the value of the older boat, but will likely save you several times that amount in the first year.

Ok sounds like excellent advice, what type of stuff do they look at and how much should I budget to spend on a survey? 220's around here go for (in good condition) $5000-$7500 or so
