I need help in the various ways to post pictures to aid in my mod descriptions. Thx. Leo

Most people need to edit the photo and save. That will change it from sideways to straight. A simple slight crop usually works well. But now thee seems to be a size limitation as well so that may need to be addressed also.

Welcome to CSR.

when posting a new message, select "Upload a file"

Then browse and select the file

Then select "Full Image "

thx for reply, it seems like I'm not the only one who runs into problem with pix. I do the edit on off line photo comp.
jpeg format, 4x6 @ 78 dpi, then thumb drive it to on line comp. I've tried thumbnail and full size but they insert themselves anywhere into my typing. I really need good pix to explain my mods well, Leo

Make sure you place your cursor where you want the photo to end up before telling it to be full size. Wherever your cursor is, the picture will end up

It look's like the file size needs to be under 2mb. That actual photo resolution doesn't matter.

Posting pics seems to be fixed no size issues. Upload a file is your safe bet.

I should add I only post pics from my iPhone and iPad

I've quit even trying to post pictures. Too much dorking around chopping it down to a size that might work and then half of the picture is gone.
All you need to do on a Mac is select a pic from your photo library and then email it to yourself. That automatically resizes it. Add that new new pic to your library. You can then click on “upload a file” and select the email pic and it becomes part of your post when you post the reply.

I only use my Samsung Galaxy S22 Android for web browsing. I posted a couple of pics on a truck forum Camaro forum without any horsing around with resizing/cropping today. I'm not about to screw around with Google photos just for CSR.

Just tried this on my Pixel 6 Pro, it appears to be an apple thing to get those info messages.
I only have Android devices...apple bad

The screen shots I took were from my Samsung phone.

I know I have done it on my computer before, but thqt is Linux and probably even different yet.

That makes no sense. I usually am on a chrome book or Win 10 machine. And have never once seen that info banner. Strange because that would answer the pic posting issues.

When I reduce the resolution to 600x800 and save it after cropping and such, they always post no problem

What are you posting them with? iPhone, android or computer is the first question.
