I have a 240 Sundancer with a portable toilet that is plumbed for a pump out. It also has the overboard macerator/pump out option which I cannot use because I am in the Great Lakes. Our portable is a 2.5 gal and fills quickly.

What do you think about adding a 20+/- gallon plastic storage tank in the engine compartment (plenty of room) next to the macerator pump and plumbing it into the tank for storage of the toilet, then plumbing that into the pumpout line for dock pump out? Would that work?

how are you going to get the "stuff" from your "porta-potty" to the holding tank??

+1

What you are suggesting is an accident waiting to happen.

I would opt for a manual flush head and a Purasan unit.

More money up front, but rids you of the potential of a mess.

Ok, thanks for the replies everyone.
I think the best thing to do is get a 5 gal holding tank under the portable, and buy a 310 next year!

I'm in the market actually for a 310 in Michigan, freshwater 2000-2003 year if anyone has a lead on one. Ready to buy in fall 2010 or spring 2011.
