Hose recommendation

Want to change hoses. Any recommendation in brand? Deciding between merc and sierra. Big price difference. Anyone have any review of sierra hoses? Thanks

I only use OEM parts on my boat when it comes to engine related parts. They generally last longer and I get peace of mind knowing my engines are kept to the design standards.

Which hose? I replaced my water inlet hose (red 1-1/4" hose) last spring. Merc wanted something like $18/ft. for it. I got the numbers off of it and went to the local Colliflower store and got 6 ft of it for about $25. Some parts are just regular parts that Merc sources and can be bought everywhere.

99% of the time I use OEM parts. My mechanic says that he has had great luck with Sierra parts, but I still bought the OEM parts and gave them to him to install.
