We chartered a bare boat on the Chesapeake for two weeks...it’s name was “Hail to the Chief” ...I lasted two days saying that on the radio and finally made up a name.... no bad luck came our way

As to bad luck, remember the Titanic was never renamed.
I don't think any of that is true. Titanic was the first passenger ship of that name, and Britannic wasn't launched until 1915, more than three years after Titanic sunk. There is a conspiracy theory that the Titanic was actually the Olympic renamed, but it doesn't really make any sense.Uh, it was. With the fire on the original Titanic and the Britannic sitting right there, they switched the names so the Titanic was the first off the dock. I worked with a guy that was obsessed. Everything he owned, wore and talked about was Titanic. He has written two books (I could really care less because I heard them before written) and was even on a History Channel show about the ships.
I changed the name with no ceremony and shit keeps breaking. One more major expense, this bitch is going to a Covid Boater for twice what i paid for it.To be honest, I wasn't there so I don't know. But a lot of "experts" say it happened and was kept hush hush. Again, I wasn't there.
I do know that I will not be one to tempt the gods. Real or not. Because if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all.
