I was just watching a YouTube review of our boat and noticed that the helm seat appeared to be much higher than the port cockpit seat - much higher than ours. I decided to check the features listed on the Sea Ray site for our boat and what do you know...

  • Seating, Double-Wide Helm w/Flip-Up Thigh-Rise Bolster, Armrests, Heavy-Duty Pedestal w/Slide & Pneumatic Vertical Adjustment

I'm so annoyed that we didn't know about this feature of our helm seat!! I'm only 5'3" so when we're cruising, I often have to stand or use the bolster (which is not very comfortable to sit on) in order to see over the bow. What's even more annoying is that I won't be able to go down to the boat to check it until this weekend.

After owning the boat for a year, we also just discovered additional storage behind the seat back cushions in the mid-berth/galley seating area. We were getting our stereo replaced and while looking for the amplifier, I discovered the additional storage and all of the additional manuals for our boat that I had assumed were missing.

How many more features will we discover??!!

Btw - confirmed that our helm seat raises up a lot farther than we previously thought. I can see over the bow without having to stand now! Can't wait to try it on our next cruise!!
