Pull the springs loose and they disassemble.
There's a ton of You Tube videos on how to clean & oil them on the cheap.
I use the K&N filter kit & it works fine.
How much are the Walker airs seps? I might just do the same. I did that with my last boat (gassers). The little filters are tip top clean.I bought a new set for the Walker AirSeps and swap them out. Cleaning and oiling is with a K&N as mentioned. I think this was in a 3116/26 forum but the little round filter is the vacuum regulator and also needs cleaning/replacement.

The 7-1/2"x10" taper for the CAT 3126's were about $80 each.
For the Cummins 6CTA (I think this is you) part number CD177 look's to be about the same --> https://www.fisheriessupply.com/walker-airsep-diesel-air-filter-elements-straight/cd177
I have the 480CE which is the pseudo electric 6CTA's. thank you.
Blown284, Maybe I should post this under the tips and tricks thread, but I tell everyone I know with a boat that likes to do their own work and buy their own parts to take their cell phone and a beverage of choice down into the engine room, spend a half hour and photograph every data plate and part number sticker they can find. No matter where I am when the urge overcomes me to spend some money, as long as I have my phone and credit card, I can get my fix.
Here’s my parts.

The Walker number for the large filter on my boat, and likely yours is CD176. You may want to check the sticker on your air sep housing to be sure yours also is an 8". I can see it at the 3 o’clock position on the body in your picture.
Fisheries supply is a good source for all the walker filters.
