Hull maintenance DIY

Hello and Happy Start of the Season, just curious if any of you perform hull maintenance on your boats personally? I’m in the frigid San Francisco Bay Area but never shy away from a challenge. At $300 every 6-8 keeps I’m thinking I could save some scratch if it’s not all that difficult.

I used to clean my own bottom on my Rinker 350 when it was in lake Berryessa especially in the summer. The water was warm and quite clear so seeing what I was doing was easy. I just used a snorkel and mask. If you are spending 300 bucks every two months on a diver on your 340 I'd say your being scalped. I pay 160 bucks quarterly for my diver to clean and check gear and zincs. A little more when zincs need to be changed. I'm in Benicia. PM me if you like and Ill give you the info on my diver.
