Anyone keeping an eye on Earl? I've been watching for a few days and each day it gets worse and worse for the Northeast. Although the latest forecast is putting it offshore a 100+ miles from Nantucket... cutting it close, but all it takes is 50-100 miles East or West and we'll be in the clear or not...

Feel free to chime in this week with any thoughts on this storm...

Ok I will just fade away to give u good boating mojo

This could kill Labor day weekend!!

Yeah it could! I have plans to spend the weekend on Cuttyhunk. I'm hoping this storm goes out to sea!

Well looks like Earl's track today takes it closer to land... Curse you Earl I knew from the name it was going to be a PITA..

Looks like the track has it clipping past Cape Cod on Fri into Saturday.

The tell tale sign will be on Thursday into Fri. on how much it tracks over NC...

It will affect us all Friday and Saturday......Leave on Thursday and come home on Monday and you will be fine for Nantucket/Vineyard/RI Sound cruisers.........or you can stay home and watch CNN and wish you were on your boat

We have plans for the weekend as well, Maryland Yacht Club on Friday, and then Pleasure Cove on Saturday. If this thing keeps coming our way, I may be able to go OVER the R/R Bridge!

I looked at all the tracks, and it looks at best a brusing off shore... In NJ, we have not had a direct his since 1903... We have quite a bit of the trash on our shore, that I would not mind seeing go out to sea... To start with the cast of the MTV Jersey Shore... In fact, would not mind see a few less homes and amusements on the beach... Maybe if we get hit hard enough the Pres will visit and promise to make us all better...

Too funny...

Bill if you can go over the RR bridge you can dock the boat in your backyard!!!

Enjoy your cruise!

If its just off the Jersey shore Friday at 8am, I'm hoping it will be past Cape Cod by Saturday at 8am and I can still make it to Cuttyhunk by noon on Saturday! Probably keeping to the lee of the Elizabethian Islands though. The rest of the long weekend looks like nice boating weather too! :smt038

Maybe you should rethink some of your thoughts?
