2006 240 DA with 550 hours – I am second owner and it has been well taken care of.

I just started having water intrusion when it rains and I am having trouble locating the source. The leak terminates in the starboard hull from what looks like a void in the fiberglass, during the manufacture. It is about 30 inches forward of the forward port light (on the starboard side) and 3 inches below the deck/hull joint. It leaks inside (see pictures) through the void in the fiberglass and then dribbles down in the v-berth.

I have tried to duplicate it with a water hose and because it seems to take some time for (apparently the wood between the fiberglass in the hull?) it to wick from wherever the intrusion is and soak up enough to run out of the void, I can’t seem to pinpoint the source of the intrusion.

I have removed the starboard rub rail and checked/re-caulked the deck to hull joint and the screw holes in that vicinity and it made no difference. While raining, I have checked all along the inside where the deck and hull join together and can see no water along that joint all while the water will be dribbling out of the void.
There is no indication of any previous damage and/or repairs that I can see in that area.
I am thinking of contacting Sea Ray (I doubt they will offer any help) but I have nothing to lose.
My next move will be trying to force compressed air into the void and then try to determine where it bubbles out at. Anyone have any other ideas of what else I might try next? Great forum btw.

If you have a anchor locker, make sure the drain is clear.

Ditto! When we started getting our heavy rains this spring, twice I had a waterfall flowing into my cabin, from the mirrored lid at the head of the v-birth. It was literally pouring in, flooding the cabin.

To make a long story short was that my two drains in the anchor locker were clogged with an acorn each! I get a lot of debris when we anchor in certain parts of the lake. I foolishly didn't think much of it

Well, I watch it carefully now. Rinse it out every other washing, just to be safe! Check it out.

It has been raining most of the day today and I just checked the anchor locker. It has maybe 5 tablespoons of water in the very bottom of it. The level is about an inch below the two drain holes. Thanks for the tip, though.
