- 350 MAG MPI, Bravo 2 drive.
FIIIINALLY!!!!!! We took delivery (well, signed the papers, it will show up on Friday) of an 05 260 Sundancer, 350 Mag MPI, genny, Bravo - II.
Artic white with the tan canvas.. and all I can say is BAD ASS people!!!
I have been on the site as a non member for a year and I can finally join as a newbie.
The Bravo II drive isn't really a big deal. I have driven a Crownline 252 EX with the B III and been on 2 260 Da's as well and there doesn't seem to be that much difference.
EXCEPT for backing manuvers, she is a little unpredictable, she kind of goes where she wants if you know what I mean.
Anyway, it planed out quick and the lowest RPM for plane appears to be 3600 RPM burning 11.6 GPH. Had 2 200 pound guys and a 3/4 tank of fuel, no water. SHe is definate;y quirky, but I LOVE it!!!
So, the only additions needed are a T.V (yeah, I noticed it didn't have it when I got to the Marina. It was missing on the spec. sheet the sales guy faxed me, but I didn't put it together. Thought it was standard, all good however), wife wants a sun pad on the bow somehow and windless.
Got the boat from Russell Marine in Alexander City Al. My salesperson Chris was super professional and upfront and not pushy. VERY IMPRESSED WITH them.
The Last thing I have to tell you all is that when Chris turned the ignition key over to start the boat he began to show me the Smartcraft system. When the hours showed up on the screen it read (and I am not lying cause I will post pic.s whenever I figure out how to do that) IT READ 0.5 HOURS!!! HOLY CRAP!!!
One hour later, the previous owner showed up and he saw his boat and said to me, "you just got a brand new boat." "The wife and I just went out there to drink matinis." "I got that 310 over there now, cause the wife likes the seating arrangement better. " "I don't think I have put gas in it yet."
He then walked past me out to the dock and hopped in a 175 bowrider and took off on the lake. HUH..you just never know.
I'll post pic.s later.
