I had family in town and they wanted to go out on the boat. It had been a while since we had taken it out so I put some muffs on it and ran it at home for a bit. Everythiong was fine on the dash but the water pump seemed to be making noise. We took it out anyway and to no surprise we over heated. The second the alarm came on I shut it down. To my surprise when I opened the engine cover there was a lot of oil in the bilge. The oil pressure never dropped. is it possible over heating cause the engine to push oil out of somewhere. I haven't have a chance to dig into it yet. Other than cracked the block or an issue with the remote oil filter where could the oil have come from?
