Has anyone replaced their Northstar ns100 with an ICOM 400BB? I am wondering if the plugs (power, Nmea etc.) fit or how difficult they are to change & can I use the Northstar's external speaker? Hope someone's done this.

If I remember when I replaced my NS100 with an Icom M504 on the last boat. The speaker was hardwired. I wanted to use it as an ext. speaker also. No good.

Replaced mine with a ray260 VHF over the winter and NS speaker is hardwired with many wires coming out of speaker seen this when I cut the wire in back of speaker.
I just made a trim to cover larger hole to fit raymarines new smaller speaker.
