I've been using Amsoil filters on my boat since I bought it. They are expensive (compared to Merc/Quicksilver) but I always assumed I was buying a little extra security for my engines.
Two weeks ago I ordered up my filters for this years winterization process. Everything but the Amsoil filters came from Amazon, delivered two days later, as usual. I just realized yesterday that two weeks had passed and still no filters from Amsoil.
No communication from Amsoil until I reached out today, two weeks post-order. They replied with the standard "supply chain constraints" response, which I realize is legitimate, but with no offer to improve, expedite, "overnight when it becomes available". They said maybe one week, maybe two, they don't really know.
So....that sucks. At least put a note on your order entry form that items aren't in stock when someone orders them. Or confirm the order with an email describing the situation and tentative delivery dates.
Not a big deal in the grand scheme but thanks for letting me vent a bit, CSR
