I discovered a century old prop repair company in Two Rivers WI that repairs and refurbishes large props.
my bronze prop had cavitation pitting at the hub that no one could figure out how to remedy. Could not find used and new was $800.
Kallenberg Bros (cira 1899) rewelded and recalibrated for less than $300. They repair freighter props and all sorts of other softer metals.
It took me quite a while to find them and saved enough for a littel extra gas this summer. I hope I can save you some time with this post.

There is actually a prop shop for sale near me ,i had a prop fixed there a few years ago because it was a newer boat i purchased that had a couple nicks in it.I wonder if it would make money if i moved it closer to the city as its in the boondocks now.
