Behind the boat a couple of weeks ago inside of Shell Island. There was a line of these things as far as you could see either way.

I have no idea, but there is definately a mixture of species in there. In the moon light, you could see a long, breathing, black streak of fishies in a couple of inches of water just a few feet from the beach. The line deviated out toward our boat so the ones in our area could enjoy the light.

Fish that frequent this area include Spanish Mackerel, all kinds of Snapper, Mullet, Pin Fish, Cigar Minnows, Bull Minnows and Menhaden, but my guess would be that these are all some form of minnows and not the larger species. I found a web site that discusses Glass Minnows, Pogies, and Razorbellies.
