Here's a "reality check" on the Starlink. Its early but sounds pretty cool. I think well all be using this in 3-5 years (maybe sooner).

The Cliff Notes:
Not going to be a good solution if your not CONUS, for a while.
Network congestion will be an issue in urban areas.
Antennas for mobile applications could be an issue.

In March 2021 SpaceX put an application into FCC for mobile variations of their terminal for vehicles, vessels and aircraft

Me too - wouldn't it be great if it fit in the KVH dome that many of us have...

I ordered this for our rural home. 6 months until I get it but it is supposed to be faster than the crap service I have now...with 3 kids home trying to do school work virtually...but at least they are back in school.

That stinks with a poor connection. My wife and I are working from home, and our kids had viritual school for a long time. Being on Teams and Google meets daily with video required a good connection. Luckily daughter has been back to MS in-person since October, son when back to HS in a phased approach. Started full time a week ago. Then some idiots decided to hold a super spreader party that caused a spike and shut down the HS again as of yesterday.

That stinks with a poor connection. My wife and I are working from home, and our kids had viritual school for a long time. Being on Teams and Google meets daily with video required a good connection.

I'm hoping to work some onboard this summer via 4G. I'm so used to my home office with fiber-optic that it could be a challenge.

I've used my iPhone hot spot with an LTE signal and my Rouge Wave WiFi broadcasts the signal nicely...
