IPOD hookup on Clarion XMD3 - SR 2005 290SLX

I am pretty sure the Clarion XMD3 has female RCA jacks for AUX hookup for the IPOD. Does anyone know if the jacks are hanging directly from the back of the unit and tucked away somewhere on the 290SLX? If not I assume I will need to remove the head unit to find them and how big a pain will this be?

usually if its just a headphone style jack it is in the front of the radio somewhere. The olny time they come from the back is when there is a direct Ipod hook up or a USB plug. I never seen RCA's on a car/marine radio used for aux Ipod hook up

On a car/marine stereo RCA's are for amps....at least i thought

this is what you need!!PAC

I'd look in the closets if I were you....Thats where mine were..
I know it isn't the same boat....but...

Just buy a FM Transmitter to hook to your IPOD and tune your boat radio to the correct station and you're done. That way you can use it in your car as well.

you thought wrong! Red Wires are aux input on XMD3

There might be a connector somewhere but it will be connected to the red pair on the back of the radio
