Is there a 460 in my near future?

So here it goes....after nearly a year of contemplating a move up due to a marriage, my fiance' has given the green light to go look for the new boat. We decided on the 460 since we both love the dancers and the layout below. I've been reading almost every post ever written on CSR about the vessel. The search is on. I've been flying all over the country (ok, Midwest and West Coast) looking at 460s.

Here are my options:
A) 2001 w/ 3208 Cats, TNT, Thruster, Hardtop, Bose, 700+ hrs Freshwater hours. $210,000 ($15k shipping)
B) 2003 w/Cummings, of course, No TNT, Thruster, Cockpit Ac/Heat, 300 hrs. saltwater, 1 owner $215,000 ($5k shipping)

Is this a no brainer? Since we are in the Northwest we like the cockpit AC/Heat feature for our year round boating pleasure.

Any thoughts?

I would be getting serious about a survey on the 2003 boat, but it does depend on the type of boating you do.

Very nice interior woodwork on these 2003 model, and the hours must make a difference I would think.

How important is the TNT to your boating, I would not be able to live without it. Am I correct that the 2003 has a Hardtop?

Graham

The TNT would be nice if you have a center console dink. If you don't the 2003 looks great. There is a 1998 450DA just listed in our marina for much less. The 460 is nicer though...

Hello Graham-
Yes, the 2003 won out! It has the hardtop w/ cockpit AC/Heat, All new custom canvas, and impeccably maintained. The TNT would have been nice, but not a major for our boating style. They have made some nice changes to the 2003's like silver with gold accents, instead of all gold.
Moving toward a survey!

Congrats and good luck! I have friends that just bought that same boat and it is so roomy! The beam is amazing and the cockpit area is wonderful. I love our 410 still as for our use the 460 may be a bit too big. That and the party keeps going to the 460 so their bar bill must be getting pretty high! (yes John, I'll bring some more over to supply our needs)

I just bought a 2003 460. I love the boat. The cockpit is huge, there is more room in the master cabin, the finish work below is beautiful. Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks Ken! Didn't you friend's buy "Smithbuck's" boat? If I remember the prior owner installed a custom cockpit table. Have you seen it?
This boat I'm looking at is actually in SF and was just on the bay yesterday.
