Keowee 2009 Labor Day?

The girls are coming, enough said:grin:
I don't even get to use my special red cooler:smt089

oh I see us low class Al tuna boters just aren't good enough to rate your girls huh?:smt043:smt043:smt043

Sounds like y'all will have fun. Make sure to take lot's of pics and get someone to film you non stop in case you swan dive again.:smt101

I am planning on attending. I have a friend on Keowee that says he will come with his 250SLX if he is off. He works like me. I have not talked with Jane about this yet although she does know about suppling the cake.

Well gang, disappointing news of a sort. We did sell Offroad Dancer to a naval officer in Georgia... I'm sure his family will enjoy it every bit as much as we did. Obviously we won't be bringing it Labor Day.

If our financial situation changes we'll just have to get a bigger one next year

It will be worth the wait. Hope it turns around for you and all affected. You and Ashli come join us still if you can.

Don't know whether to say congratulations or sorry Gerald, but I'm sure it is for the best. I know what you are going through. It has been an interesting couple of years. Come on up I'm sure we can find a place for you all.

Things are not looking good for us to be able to make the trip this year...still working on it but again not looking good.

Wesley, If I promise not to bring salt will you be able to make it (Grin)

It looks like we locked in. I booked a room @ the Days Inn in Seneca. BTW I used priceline and got a decent deal. We are still planning on going to lake Jocassee on Saturday. Tonya is working on some food goodies and lunch items.

Glad everything is worked out, look forward to seeing you guys again.:smt038

Friday is a possible day for us at Jocassee. Sat and Sun not looking good since daughter has to dance in Apple Fest. We will continue to monitor. Monday is open for us as well, but that day may be a rest up for all you guys after this labor day weekend.

Ok, a little birdie told me Kes (Sweetdreams) has got a map with all the falls marked for the Jocassee trip on Saturday. So I guess that puts them in charge as the cruise director for Saturday. Now what time are we leaving and whats for lunch. Did I hear cake by Jane? Who's ready for a Mojito?

As the Sunday Raftup on Keowee I think Capt. Ryan is still in charge. Do we know where it is going to be yet Ryan?

Hello all.... sorry for the delayed replies... I have been busy with work.

So... looks like a fun group for Lake Jocassee on Saturday. The admiral and I are taking a trip up there with some friends this coming weekend.

As far as the festivities for Sunday on Keowee... I'll discuss with the admiral this evening and see what ideas she has. I know that Buddy's Island will be "out" on Sunday... Some folks from the marina are taking a few house boats to Buddy's Island... they've hired a band to play up on top of the house boat. Great band - I heard them during the 4th... but honestly - I don't think it'll be a place for us to have a 'CSR Reunion'..... very diverse crowd... and I can guarantee the wealthy folks that live in the homes directly across from Buddy's will be ringing the phones of both DNR and State Patrol.....

I have a few ideas for some great spots.... I'll post some ideas in the next day or two.

Let's do this.... as 'cruise director' for Sunday/Monday... Please PM me your name and contact information so I can get an idea of how many boats.. I mean folks we'll have :)

Looking very much forward to it.... and although I'll be at the beach the week prior... I'll still have my laptop to checkin on CSR!

Until then,
-Ryan

Ryan,

Great band and diverse crowd sounds kind of interesting for a short while (Grin)
We could have our own CSR raftup close by, yet far enough away if it gets to crazy we can always go to another cove.

Chuck, I'm surprised that you would want to see a bunch of half nakid young girls BOOTY danceing out in public. Or is just you'r love of music!

Hey...I'm all in for this! Hmmm, I'm single though.

Naw, we should find a nice quiet cove, and eat CAKE! Yea, I'm better built for that! lol.

Chuck, Ill have to agree, it changes you'r prospective when you have a daughter. The music becomes more important:smt089

Friday is the 14th, only 21 days till the fun begins, as always I'm getting excited, the weather should be breaking by then(sounds good anyway), hopefully the nights will be cooler. Can't wait.

Trying to find out now if we can get through the park trees at Jocassee to the ramp! :smt100 Requested to the poster of the tour group for this weekend and on the post. Are state parks obligated to follow the same DOT clearance guidelines as everywhere else?
