I fired up my generator for the first time yesterday and had two issues. The first is that there was a small amount of oil coating the flame aresster which I think could have been residual from winterization.
The second issue that really has me concerned is a knocking sound coming from somewhere near the carburetor. When I first start it is is fine but after running for a minute or so it starts to knock.
Any ideas on on this one?
It is a Kohler 5ecd in my 2006 340 SDA.
