Hey everyone...

We recently had the boat out on the water and noticed the generator was not expelling any water at all out of the exhaust. I removed the old impeller and found that every single vane was gone. Replaced with a new one and back flushed the heat exchanger. After back flushing and pushing water through via hose we were able to get 6 vanes out.

After that we turned the generator on and it would spit water every couple seconds.... I ended up removing every hose and cleaned the strainer. Pulled out some sticks and what is say was a 85% blockage from the intake hose after the seacock.

Here's the water flow now. Is this what I should be expecting or should it be a steady stream like the AC unit. I'm assuming this is the correct level of flow since it's gear driven by the crank and moved with exhaust....

Thanks for your time

One other thing... Ran it for about 3 minutes and the water coming out was never over "Luke warm".

Typical generator exhaust. Be thankful it keeps running after all it's a Kohler!
