Kohler 5EKD generator remote won’t turn on

we have a 2016 330 Sundancer. Our generator has been working great. Low hours. Just used it a few weeks ago. Our remote in the cabin won’t turn on. Our generator is working fine. We can start it from the engine compartment. We had a fuse in position 1 that blew. We replaced it. We checked the connection harness. It is on securely.

What could be causing the remote to not start.

Not sure about a newer one like yours, but is there a 3-position switch on the front that says maybe “Off-On-Auto?” It would need to be in the Auto position to start from the remote. Just a thought...

Just had this same problem. Had a short in the remote unit. Blowing a 10 amp fuse #5 I believe. Unplugged the remote and genset would start locally. 35hrs on our 5EKD
