Hey folks - My Genset had been running flawlessly after last fall’s overhaul. Yesterday, it did not sound exactly right on startup. Exhaust was very white and it sounded off. More ‘popping’ to it than smooth exhaust. It eventually died with an EC69 which now reproduces consistently after 5 mins or so. The exhaust line is really hot while it’s running. Raw water flow appears good. No blockages in the strainer or hoses and the impeller is in one piece. Water flow out the wet exhaust appears as normal.

I know the error code suggests a resistance issue on the O2 sensor but something else is going on unless I misunderstand the role of the O2 sensor. Any thoughts?

CO sensor, plugs, fuses, SCR, relay all replaced last fall while I was getting it back in shape. Coolant is staying even (not overflowing).

Thanks.

If it's running really lean that would set the code and jack up exhaust gas temps.

Hmm. Maybe injector. I did not replace the injector when servicing last fall. I do have one though. Maybe worth popping it in and seeing if that makes a difference.
