We are new to boating this year, and would like to know the merits of storing our 1988 230 Weekender 5.7 260hp in the water at a marina vs. on a trailer at a covered but not heated storage facility. What is different for the winterization procedures? It is equipped with a fresh water system and a head.
Thanks!

Where? South Florida or northern Wisconsin?

Some of the cranky old men might think it makes a difference.

That would be me!...............

Unless we know if the boat is in salt water, you will not get a decent answer to your question.

Heck, even if we do know that answer, you still might not get a decent answer. The thing with free advice is that it is worth about what you paid for it.

Best regards,
Frank

Ask those stingy guys who only have you two greens.

It would make a difference as to where I am! I'm in KY, fresh water only. We do have a few months of freezing weather here. And I'm already seeing decent answers! Thanks again!

Have you thought about slipping the boat with a Hydrohoist or other similar lift?

Just a thought, but this option truly combines the best worlds of trailering and slipping. Can speak for your area. However, some marinas will rent the hoist or you purchse a new or used one.
